So day 6 on the gift giving ideas is home made gifts. Currently working on a series of little pouches that can be used as clutches, make-up purses, or catch-alls for the ladies in my life. I found the great and easy tutorial here, and it's easy to pick up even if you're not a big sewer, plus picking out beautiful fabric at the store or online is so much fun!
Clutch #1:
I took a part an old jacket that no longer fit- it was the beautiful tweed fabric. Now it's going to make me a nice clutch.
Out of the entire project I think the gathering was the most difficult. Everything else is sewing in a strait line.
Tada, clutch #1 done! I think it took about 2 1/2 hours total.
Clutch #2:
Fabric and materials for clutch #2
Again, the fun part- this fabric was easier to work with and get even across the top.
Detail.
Clutch # 2 done!
Clutch # 1 & 2 done! Now to make a TON more. I think each comes out to be less than $5 a piece, so a great and cost effective gift!
XOXO
