Spicy Red

I have always loved the color red. It can be warm, spicy, exotic, fiery, pretty, but always, always a pop of beautiful color. Red can be a hard color to work with- too yellow and it looks orange-y, too dark and it can make the entire room feel gloomy. It always needs to be balanced with other lighter colors and make sure you're prepared to have it be your main color, even if it's only used as an accent.

Red, white, and gray are beautiful together. The contrast between the red and white gives your eye time to rest on the lighter pieces.  Make sure to stay within your color palette even if the tones vary.

Here is a great way to use red as a neutral juxtaposed with a patterned wall. Again, red is the star in this room even with all of the other interest.

Um, hello. I would never leave this room. Chandelier with deep red walls = gorgeous.

Pop of color in unexpected places. Color can tie rooms together like this living room and dining room.

A beautiful way to incorporate red into a light space. It doesn't have to be all over the walls to be the star of the room. Tasteful accents can bring a room together quickly.

Red is a great color to warm up a room or bring more visual stimulation to a room. It is the first primary color for a reason.
XOXO.
