If you are looking for delicious beer, a great Portland atmosphere and good eats for cheap, I recommend Raccoon Lodge. Every Tuesday besides happy hour, is Tightwad Tuesday. A special menu with food all around $1.00 (that's right, pulled pork tacos, chips and salsa, house salad and more for only a buck!) and $3.50 pints.
It is a favorite place for me to meet friends after work and a cost effective way to eat out. From the outside it might look like a strip club, but it is the home of delicious Oregon beer.
What is also great is they sell Oregon Brewfest mugs and tokens so you don't have to wait in line on the day of- you can just go right in and drink beer to your heart's content.
