BrewFest

So this was only my second Portland Brewfest I've been to since I've been 'of age' to attend. I learned a lot from last year, as in I only need 10 tokens, I like longer lines because I'll have a chance to drink my beer while waiting instead of feeling pressured to run through and try all of the beers, and let others go Thursday and Friday and get recommendations!

So on to the good stuff, favorites:

Dark Beer: Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub Bruce/Lee Porter

It is like a kick in the mouth with the flavor of this porter. Tasty without a heavy feeling left over after it's gone. I liked it and I normally like coffee porters only, this was the exception.

Light Beer: Bison Brewing Co. Bison Honey Basil Ale

I want to make dinner with this beer. It's savory and refreshing, like chewing on a basil leaf while drinking a light beer. So refreshing and leaves you with good breath after the beer is gone. This was one of my few full glass purchases.

Curveball Beer: Maui Brewing Co. Mana Wheat with Pineapple Juice

It's delicious. Beer + Pineapple juice? AMAZING! It has a lovely tropical feel perfect for summer.

Let me know your favorites of the festival!
XOXO
