Here! In Sagrado Cenote Azul, Cancun. Hoping Oregon shows some love and the sun returns. 

This makes me want to break out my bathing suit and suntan lotion.

Here! I'm ready for a little snow. Even though it has been warming up lately, it would be nice to get away and play in some snow- maybe go skiing, sit in a cozy cabin with some hot cocoa by a fire watching the flakes come down?

Wish I Was

On another special addition of Wish I Was Here Wednesday, I wish you were here with me in Costa Rica! I have been so blessed this year with great family and amazing opportunities to travel. Currently I'm in Costa Rica hiking, soaking in some sun, and relaxing before the Christmas Holiday. So Day 14 of Christmas Gift ideas would be to schedule a vacation for you and your loved ones- get away and spend some time together outside of your every day routine.

Wish I Was

Here! I'm finally ready to celebrate the holidays and welcome Christmas music into my life. I am also ready for it to snow. 

Day 7 of the Christmas gift giving ideas is framed pictures. I love larger prints that make a statement and while I wish I could be in the photo, I also would not mind this gorgeous scene on my wall this holiday season. So taking a few of your favorite seasonal prints and framing them can make great gifts for friends, especially if they just moved into a new space.

In an old fashioned farmhouse kitchen. I love the idea of a fireplace in a kitchen, and this one is so pretty. It would make me want to bake all day!

In Paris. I've never been abroad in the winter- always during a summer break from school, but I would love to see Paris covered in snow with it's beautiful lights twinkling. Or tucked into an older cottage in the Normandy country side sipping wassail watching the snow fall.

At a bed and breakfast! They are so darling and quaint, plus people cook for you and they are generally on the coast or somewhere with good hiking and sight seeing. Not to mention I need to start doing my research for our retirement plan (yes, I know that's light years away but you can never start planning too early).

At a Canadian Spa. I've only been to Victoria, B.C. but somewhere deep in Canada is a beautiful place called Ste Anne's Spa in Cobourg, Ontario. Doesn't the place look like something from a fairytale?

At the pumpkin patch! Happy Wednesday everyone, this weekend Paul and I will celebrate our 8 year anniversary by road tripping to the coast and hopefully hitting up some Sauvie Island pumpkin patches on Sunday. I have always been a fan of going out and picking out my own pumpkin and for years we went to my Great-grandparent's house because they grew a modest patch of their own full of pumpkins and squash and gourdes, but now I have to visit other local farms to claim a pumpkin of my own. 

Excited to start painting & carving!

Here again. Yay Wednesday. With the weather turning, I'm excited for rain, rain, and more rain. Rain makes things cozy, wet yes, but also it's my favorite weather to sip tea to, cuddle up in a blanket to, and listen to jazz. So, I currently wish I was in the rain with my Whinne the Pooh inspired umbrella.

 

Paul can come too.

Here- in the middle of my favorite season. The weather is changing slowly even though we're supposed to have another heat wave this weekend, but I am ready for fall and all of the activities that come with it. Looking forward to the pumpkin patch, warm sweaters, hot cider, more rain, early morning fog, and the saturation of color that nature provides.

Here! This is beautiful Provence, France. I have been to France twice but still wish to go back and explore, live, eat delicious food, sketch, and soak in history. 

So today I wish I was in a tiny Cafe sipping hot chocolate, eating a croissant, with my sketchpad in my lap.
