So I finally busted out the sewing machine my mother bought me for Christmas years ago and my good friend Dierdre came over and gave me a small tutorial on how to use it (she's an Apparel Design graduate). So we did a purse project together, which took no time at all and was pretty simple. So I set out on my own this past week to try it for myself.
The main bag, lining, and interface fabric.
The lining with simple pocket
Other side of the lining with really hard zipper pocket. Tutorial here.
Embroidered handles. Please ignore my gross ironing board cover that needs to be washed.
Exterior pleating on purse.
Completed purse put together.
With the lining showing. Reminds me of mint-chocolate chip ice cream. Yum!
My sewing machine embroiders. I might love it more than my mixer.
I love being crafty! You can find the pleated purse tutorial I used here.
XOXO
